Telmi is a double open source device consisting of a talking scale and a barcode reader, both designed to increase the autonomy of users with visual impairments, with the aim of assisting them in recognizing products purchased at the supermarket and identifying their weight. With the help of the talking scale they obtain the weight of the product, however thanks to the help of the barode reader, through a single scan and subsequent vocal reproduction they are able to independently choose the products that can be purchased at the supermarket.
